4. Customs Debt: Some brokers offer the option of paying the customs debt (VAT and duties) on behalf of the importer. This allows the driver to proceed to the delivery site while the importer settles the debt with the broker within 8 days.
5. Payment and Release: If the broker doesn’t handle the customs debt, the driver must wait at the customs office until the payment is completed.
